Ansvar Insurance understands that making a claim can be a stressful situation brought about through a loss or unfortunate incident.  Our reputation for settling claims is as important as the cover we provide.  With Ansvar Insurance you can rest assured that we’ll be there to provide support at every stage of the claims process. 

 

Melbourne Storms

The Ansvar Insurance Melbourne office is currently closed due to the Labour Day holiday in Melbourne. 

  • Urgent issues can be reported by calling the claims hotline on 1300 650 540 where we can make arrangements for an assessor or building repairer to attend
  • Notification of  losses may be made via our online claims notification
  • If you have a more general and non urgent query please email requests to vicclaims@ansvar.com.au  where we will respond to your enquiry as soon as possible.

What to do with your damaged possessions?

  • If it's possible, take photos of your damaged property and belongings.
  • Make a list of your damaged household possessions. Where you have a number of smaller items like food, books or clothing, just write Food, Books (study) Clothing in chest of drawers (bedroom 1) etc. Our assessors will help you work out how much to claim for these items.
  • If you have to dispose of items, remember to make a note of brands and models for electrical items like DVD, stereo, fridge, etc. If you have the manufacturer's manual keep them for the assessor.
  • Keep a piece of damaged carpet to facilitate replacement.
  • Try to dry out your home by keeping it as ventilated as possible to avoid the build up of mould.
