Leaders Summit - Sydney, 21-22 March

The Leaders Summit is the Village and Care sectors’ peak strategic meeting for senior executives and is now acknowledged as the leading forum for strategic content and premium networking. It is timed every March to review the current village and care markets and consider the next year’s business strategies.
Our CEO Warren Hutcheon chaired an engaging session ‘Identifying and Managing CEO and Board Risk in 2019/ 2020’ with expert panelists Prof. Joe Ibrahim (Head, Health Law and Ageing Research Unit at the Department of Forensic Medicine, Monash University), Penelope Eden (Partner MinterEllison) and Anthony Black (Ansvar Risk Senior Risk Consultant). The session discussed how Risk is now real - discussing Leadership and Board responsibility for ‘harm minimisation’, ‘solvency risk’ in a marginal business, identification of ‘risk maturity’ and ‘sit back boards’ exposed to criminal and reputation risk. It was an amazing opportunity for Ansvar to chair this session and have the panel complete with experts in their fields discussing key messages to embed a more effective risk management culture within the aged care sector.
