Applications opened for 2017 CEP Grants Program
September 5th, 2016

Applications are now open for our annual Community Education Program (CEP) Grants. The CEP provides a range of grants to organisations supporting Australian youth through programs that fall under two categories – Empowerment and Education & Outreach and Support. Since the grants were first awarded in 1994, Ansvar has contributed over $10 million to education and life skill programs reaching thousands of young people across Australia.

In order to qualify for an Ansvar CEP Grant, organisations must meet the following criteria:

Be a registered not-for-profit with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status
Seek funding for a specific program
The program seeking funding must target Australian youth under 25 years
The program must be sustainable beyond receiving a grant from Ansvar
The program must fit into the Empowerment and Education or Outreach and Support categories.
“Year after year we are amazed by the calibre of organisations that apply for the Ansvar CEP Grants. As funding becomes more and more difficult for these deserving programs, it is especially gratifying for everyone at Ansvar to be able to contribute in making a difference to the lives of so many young Australians,” said Warren Hutcheon, CEO Ansvar Insurance.

“We encourage every organisation across Australia who meets the selection criteria to apply for a CEP Grant. We look forward to receiving the applications and helping these programs enrich the lives of the young people they support,” continued Hutcheon.

Some of the 2016 CEP Grant recipients included Australian Refugee Volunteers, Down Syndrome Victoria, Top Blokes Foundation, The Reach Foundation and Courage to Care. With the help of the grants, all of the programs were able to offer life changing programs to a wide range of deserving recipients across Australia.

Applications for the Ansvar CEP Grants will open on Thursday 1 September and will close at 5.00pm on Friday, 14 October 2016. Ansvar will notify all organisations of the outcome of their application on or before Friday, 31 March 2017. Successful applicants will be notified by phone by Friday 31 March 2017 with full information about their CEP Grant. Another one of our 2017/ 2018 Community Education Program's that we're delighted to be supporting 🎖️☺️🙌

As part of the Ansvar Insurance 2017/18 Community Education Program, Hunter Life Education has been the proud recipient of grant funding for children in the Hunter region.

Ansvar's grant program helps NFP's such as ours to continue empowering lives of young people in the community. As a result of this grant, a number of disadvantaged Hunter schools will be receiving fully funded Life Education programs in 2018!

One of these schools was visited by Healthy Harold 🦒and the Life Education van last week at Coolongolook Public School.
